Statement of Intent

For my final major project, I wanted to base my ideas on the best images that I have made. These themes will be low key.

Idea 1:

For idea one I thought of doing a portrait photoshoot in a Low key style with only half of the face showing maybe with colour, I haven’t decided whether I wanted to do a self portrait shoot or whether I wanted to include a model in the photos the model (or myself if I do a self portrait) would will be wearing dark clothes and the makeup would be dark makeup.

Idea 2:

For idea 2 I thought of doing a low key shoot with a model but there is no light on their face so it silhouetted and behind their head would be with moving light strips. This would create a unique style of image and I love the way silhouettes look with a colourful light shining behind the model.

Idea 3:

For idea 3 I thought of doing a vintage style shoot in a field with a model in a dress or in hippie style clothes, I’ll edit this so it looks like it's taken on an old film camera to give the ‘vintage’ look to the image. I like the idea of the open field to make the image have a peaceful, calming feel to the image and making the viewer seem at ease when looking at the photo.

Idea 4:

For idea 4 I was thinking of a 90’s grunge style shoot , I would take the photos in a car in my garage to create the background of a metallic grunge style shoot. I will have the model sitting in a car in a 90’s style outfit with dark makeup and straight hair to create the grungy style that I want for the shoot.
