J
uno Calypso is a British photographer who specialises in self portrait style photography.
Her style of photography is the main inspiration for a lot of my work, the way her photos all have different themes but they all follow a similar colour palette and take advantage of the contrast between the dark and the bright colours she uses.

Lindsay Adler is a portrait photographer with a running style throughout all her images.
She normally takes portraits either with bright colours but with darker settings and backgrounds or she uses black and white images and creates a classic image style, but a running theme in her different images is the style of low key and the use of lights creating unique perspectives on the images by using different lighting techniques.

Alex Prager is an American photographer and filmmaker, she is known for her cinematic way of capturing images. She bases her work in the style of old hollywood.
Her work really stands out to me and what I want to create in this shoot. The mixture of low key and vintage is one of the main inspirations for my work and is an idea for what I want the final images to be.

Laura Zalenga is a German self portrait photographer. She is very similar to Juno Calypso because she doesn’t have one particular style of photography but she does have a very similar colour theme and tones in all her images.
She has a very muted colour palette that I really like and this style of self portrait photography. I also this these style of photos could easily be edited to look like it was taken on film and add to the vintage look.

Neil Krug is an American photographer who specialises in album cover photography, mainly for Lana Del Rey albums, for example Born to Die, Lust for Love, Ultraviolence and Honeymoon.
His work is another vintage style that I really love, the bright colours in the honeymoon shoot with the grain on top really adds to the vintage style. The black and white photos are a classic style of vintage photography I really love.

Kristina Stanton is an American photographer who is a long time photographer for the singer Melanie Martinez.
I was very inspired by her dollhouse shoot that she did with Martinez, the vintage shoot with the muted colours really stands out to me. The muted colours really add to the vintage style. The grain effect over the photo makes it look like the photo is taken with film rather than digital.
